A Biblical Perspective
The vision of Grace Hill Church is to see people transformed through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Our goal is to encourage, equip, and empower everyone who is in Covenant Relationship with Grace Hill Church to faithfully live and share the Gospel. We are all missionaries to our family, friends and neighbors.
Those in Covenant Relationship with Grace Hill Church attend a weekly Transformational Community Group (AKA—TC Groups). Here we meet in homes and apply Sunday morning’s sermon to our lives. This forms the basis of our unified prayers and gives direction to outreach and ministry opportunities that we can do together in our community. These groups are the heartbeat of our church. It is where you will truly get to know others and find life long friendships.
The elders are those men who are biblically qualified, gifted by the Holy Spirit, called of God and affirmed by the church to serve and lead the body of Christ at Grace Hill Church. The elders are responsible for overseeing all aspects of pastoral care, administration, and preaching and teaching at Grace Hill Church.
We believe God is sovereign in all things, including salvation. God saves us by His sovereign grace by giving us the gift of salvation even though we are sinners who deserve nothing but His eternal condemnation. These truths embolden us to faithful share the Gospel and trust God alone for the results. These doctrines are seen in the following terms and verses
Why do sinners need Grace? Because we are Totally Depraved.
All men are sinners because we have inherited our sinful natures from Adam. As a result we are born sinful and are spiritually dead. This means we are both unwilling and unable to repent of our sins and trust in Christ in and of ourselves. We need the grace of God to save us.
Key Texts
Romans 5:12
Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned-
Psalm 51:5

Ephesians 2:1
And you were dead in the trespasses and sins
What has God the Father done to extend His grace to spiritually dead sinners?
He has unconditionally elected some to be saved.
Unconditional Election is the act of God the Father before creation in which He chose to save some sinners, not because they earned or deserved it, but only because of His gracious sovereign will.
Key Texts:
Ephesians 1:3-6
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,
4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love
5 he predestined us for adoption through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,
6 to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.
Romans 8:29-30
29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
30 And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.
John 1:12-13
12But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
John 6:44
No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.

What has God the Holy Spirit done to apply the benefits of Christ’s atonement to God’s elect?
Those whom God the Father elects, and for whom God the Son has atoned for, God the Holy Spirit makes spiritually alive, thus able and willing to repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Key Texts:
Ephesians 2:1; 4-5
1 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins
4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us,
5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ- by grace you have been saved-
Titus 3:5
he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,
Those that are truly saved will be kept by God’s power and will persevere (continue) as Christians throughout the entirety of their lives.
Key Texts:
John10:27-29
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.
29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father\’s hand.
“Scripture Alone” is the sole authority for and source for sound doctrine. It is breathed out by God and is perfectly true in all that it teaches and asserts.
In salvation, we are saved from God’s wrath by His sovereign “Grace Alone.” It is a gift that we cannot earn and that we do not deserve.
God’s grace is received by “Faith Alone,” and it is through this gift of faith that we are saved and justified before God.
Our salvation is found in “Christ Alone.” His person (Both fully God and fully man) and His perfect works (sinless life; sacrificial death; resurrection) are the object of our faith and not our works.
Since our salvation is by God’s grace and is received by faith in Christ alone, we give “Glory to God Alone” for our salvation.
